Brody Jenner files police report over bar scuffle

Avril Lavigne's boyfriend Brody Jenner has filed a report with police after the couple was allegedly attacked during a night out in Los Angeles over the weekend (05-06Nov11).

The Canadian singer claimed she was left with a "black eye, bloody nose, hair ripped out, scratches, bruises and cuts" following an allegedly unprovoked attack at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel in the early hours of Sunday morning (06Nov11).

Jenner is said to have come to his girlfriend's defence and was allegedly struck in the head with a bottle during the scuffle. He later sought medical treatment at a local hospital.

He has now contacted police and filed a report claiming he was the victim of assault with a deadly weapon.

Police Sergeant Keith Green of the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) confirmed the filing to E! News on Monday (07Nov11).
