Britney Spears lands TV documentary

Britney Spears has landed her own TV documentary after agreeing to let cameras follow her as she prepares for her upcoming Las Vegas residency.

The Toxic hitmaker will kick off a two-year stint at Sin City's Planet Hollywood on 27 December (13), and fans will get an inside look at how she juggles her busy life and her duties as a mom of two leading up to the big day.

Titled I Am Britney Jean, the TV special will be "an intimate look at one of the most overexposed yet under-revealed stars of today as she faces one of her biggest challenges ever while finishing her album, shooting videos, doing press - and being a mom."

Spears' eighth studio album, Britney Jean, will be released on 3 December (13) - the day after her 32nd birthday - and the I Am Britney Jean documentary will air on the E! Network on 22 December (13), five days before her residency in Las Vegas begins.
