Bristol Palin pregnant with second child

U.S. reality TV star Bristol Palin, daughter of 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, has announced she is pregnant with her second child, a month after calling off her wedding to Dakota Meyer.

The former Dancing with the Stars finalist, 24, was planning to wed Meyer on 23 May (15), but days before the ceremony, her mom Sarah announced the nuptials were off, and on Thursday (25Jun15) Bristol took to her blog to reveal she's going to be a mom again.

She wrote, "I wanted you guys to be the first to know that I am pregnant. Honestly, I've been trying my hardest to keep my chin up on this one. I know this has been, and will be, a huge disappointment to my family, to my close friends, and to many of you. But please respect (son) Tripp's and my privacy during this time. I do not want any lectures and I do not want any sympathy."

Palin later added, "Tripp and I are in Alaska beginning to rebuild our lives under much different circumstances than we anticipated... My little family always has, and always will come first. Tripp, this new baby, and I will all be fine, because God is merciful."

Palin has not confirmed if she and Meyer are still together or even if he is the father of her second child.

She was previously engaged to her six-year-old son Tripp's father, Levi Johnston, but called off the engagement in 2009. She met Meyer last year (14).
