Bradley Cooper proposes to Emma Stone on TV

Bradley Cooper stunned U.K. TV viewers on Wednesday (09Dec15) by staging a mock proposal for his Aloha co-star Emma Stone during an interview.

The pair made an appearance together on British morning show Lorraine to promote the film, and during the chat, Emma gushed about the actor's glittering Hollywood career.

"This is (the) third year in a row he's been nominated for an Oscar... It's old hat (to him now)," she told the interviewer.

Bradley was so touched by her words, he took off his late father's wedding ring and slipped it onto Emma's left hand to symbolise a proposal.

"Ah thank you so much! That's your father's wedding ring, that's a pretty serious gesture," the actress exclaimed.

"Is this the wrong time?" Bradley added, and Emma replied, "No this is perfect... it was the moment - with his father's wedding ring."

"My timing's always off," Bradley declared before Emma concluded, "Your timing is so funny... I think it is (the right moment)."

Bradley is currently dating Russian supermodel Irina Shayk, and reports suggest they are planning to buy a home together in New York City after the brunette beauty recently put her Manhattan apartment on the market.

Emma has been involved in an on/off relationship with her The Amazing Spider-Man co-star Andrew Garfield. The actors reportedly put their relationship on hold in April (15) before reuniting, but they are believed to have later split for good.

When asked about the break-up reports earlier this year (15), Emma told the Wall Street Journal, "I never talk about this stuff for this exact reason - because it's all so speculative and baseless.

"I understand the interest in it completely, because I've had it, too. But it's so special to me that it never feels good to talk about, so I just continually don't talk about it."
