Bradley Cooper makes first TV appearance since welcoming daughter

Bradley Cooper remained tight-lipped about his child during his first post-baby interview on The Ellen Degeneres Show on Friday (05May17).

The Hangover actor and his model girlfriend Irina Shayk welcomed a daughter in March (17), and reportedly named her Lea de Seine Shayk Cooper.

Bradley has been quiet since becoming a dad, leaving promotion of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 to his co-stars Chris Pratt and Zoe Saldana, and he remained tight-lipped about his little girl when he stepped out for a pre-taped interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, which airs on Friday (05May17).

"I don't know if you know this, but you have a baby," teased host Ellen. When Bradley feigned surprise at her question, she jokingly added: "When you get home you should look for it. It's somewhere in your house."

During the interview, the talk show host again broached the subject of fatherhood, but did so by referring to the much-ridiculed scene in his 2014 movie American Sniper in which a plastic doll was used in the place of an infant.

"I know you don't want to talk about the baby. I just want to say, I knew you'd be a good father when I saw you in American Sniper," Ellen smiled, before screening a clip of the infamous scene.

"I can't believe you! We already went through this before!" laughed Bradley, before admitting,"It never gets old!"

Meanwhile, one topic the 42-year-old was happy to speak about was his reboot of movie A Star Is Born. Bradley is directing the flick and taking a central role, alongside popstar Lady Gaga.

"She's unbelievable, she really is incredible," he said, adding that he has a new appreciation for singers after doing vocals for several scenes. "So, singing, I had no idea. I would get fatigued at the end of even a phrase... I've really been awakened to the phenomenon of singing. I just hope I can be believable enough so you can watch Stefani - that's her name, Gaga - just shine. Because she's incredible."
