
BRAD PITT AMONG HONOURED STARS AT WEBBY AWARDS

Brad Pitt has been honoured for his contributions to the internet, earning a top honour at this year's (10) Webby Awards.
Organisers of the awards - which celebrate the best of the net - picked Pitt in the activism category for the website for his Make It Right foundation, which he launched in 2007 to help rebuild New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina.
Meanwhile, funnyman Jim Carrey landed a Webby and a people's voice award for his gut-busting official fan site.
Rock band OK Go also received a top honour as video artist of the year.
Other honourees include actress of the year Amy Poehler, for her online series Smart Girls at the Party, Lisa Kudrow's Web series, Web Therapy, which won for best comedy series, movie critic Roger Ebert, for his blog on the Chicago Sun-Times website, Roger Ebert's Journal and actress Isabella Rosselini for her short-film series, Green Porno, about animal attraction.
