Bobbi Kristina Brown's boyfriend pleased with autopsy reveal

Nick Gordon is convinced the release of his girlfriend Bobbi Kristina Brown's autopsy report exonerates him of any wrongdoing.

The only child of Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston died in July (15), six months after she was found face down and unresponsive in a bath tub at the Georgia home she shared with Gordon.

An initial autopsy proved inconclusive, but the results of further tests, including the more detailed toxicology report, were sealed in September (15) at the request of authorities investigating the case.

Her cause of death was finally released on Friday (04Mar16) - on what would have been Bobbi Kristina's 23rd birthday - a day after a Georgia judge granted a local news station's request to lift the protective order on the grounds of public interest.

The Fulton County Examiner's findings revealed the aspiring actress died from drug intoxication and drowning. They also declared that at the time of her January, 2015 accident, she had marijuana, alcohol, anti-anxiety medications, a "cocaine-related substance" and morphine in her system.

Bobbi Kristina's father has since slammed the decision to release the results before a wrongful death investigation into Gordon's alleged involvement had been concluded, but Gordon is applauding the move.

"I'm glad that s**t is all over," he tells DailyMail.co.uk. "I just want to wish my girl a Happy Birthday. I can't say any more but it's good."

No criminal charges have been filed against Gordon, but he is facing a $10 million (£7 million) wrongful death lawsuit from his late girlfriend's court-appointed co-conservator, Bedelia Hargrove.

He denies any wrongdoing and at the time of the filing, his former legal team called the lawsuit "slanderous and meritless," and a "fictitious assault against the person who loved Krissy most".

Eyewitnesses have previously stated Brown and Gordon's romance was a turbulent one, fuelled by drugs.

Medical examiners were unable to determine whether the tragic youngster's death was accidental or not, but they did make note of a number of scars and bruises all over her body.
