Blake Lively: 'It's fun to dress up when you're pregnant'

Blake Lively loves dressing up while pregnant, and insists she won't be letting her second baby affect her style.

The 28-year-old Gossip Girl star, who is mother to 18-month-old daughter James with husband Ryan Reynolds, confessed she loves wearing sparkly dresses that make her look like a Disney princess.

"It’s fun to dress up in a big sparkly number and a Cinderella-looking dress," the pregnant actress told Entertainment Weekly editorial director Jess Cagle.

"I came home to my baby and she was like, ‘Wow!' You know, because you just look like a Disney movie," she explains. "It’s fun to get to do that. Because when you’re a little girl you play dress-up, and now I get to do it in big-girl life too.

"There are lots of variables these days, but (it’s) fun to dress (under) the circumstances,” Blake adds with a laugh.

The actress wowed the fashion world with her style at the Cannes Film Festival in France last month (May16), dressing her baby bump in gorgeous gowns that were the talk of the red carpet.

But Blake told Cagle, "You should see me when I wake up!”, adding, "This is not real life. I don’t normally wear feather numbers with cashmere sweatshirts."

She admits being called a style icon is "nerve-wracking and weird", but admits she's lucky she gets to play dress up for a living. The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants star loves to work with great designers, but reveals she does the bulk of her own styling.

"Everybody in the world does all their own styling," the down-to-earth mom smiles. "They wake up in the morning and put their own clothes on themselves. It’s not that different... (it's) way less impressive."
