Black Eyed Peas start hiatus after final show
The Black Eyed Peas treated their fans to a star-studded concert ahead of their planned hiatus, bringing Cee Lo Green and Sean Kingston onstage to perform during the show.
The I Gotta Feeling hitmakers announced in July (11) that they are set to take a break following the completion of their world tour, which came to a close in Miami, Florida on Wednesday night (23Nov11).
The crowd at the Sun Life Stadium was treated to a hits-packed set,
and Cee Lo Green and Sean Kingston, as well as Queen Latifah and
T-Pain, made guest appearances during the gig.
Sean Kingston later told his Twitter.com followers, "WOWOW What A
Show!!! I Had An Amazing Time Thank You Miami I Love You Guys!!!..
And Thanks To The bep For Letting me Be Apart Of History!!!"
Rapper will.i.am also posted a heartfelt message to his online fans
after the gig, using the opportunity to dismiss reports the band is
splitting, insisting he is committed to the group as well as his
solo career.
In a series of posts, he writes, "i.am ready for the next
journey... I know it won't be easy... Its ganna (sic) be 'the
hardest ever'... blessed.i.am to have willpower... (It begins). I
created bep how can I leave bep... how can I let what I created
end... impossible... I am thankful for my group and friends.
Perspective... the bep's have been touring since 1998... nonstop...
before fergie joined... and I'm not finished yet..."
