Bjork pulls gig over throat injury

Icelandic singer Bjork has been forced to cancel her upcoming shows in Argentina after discovering a nodule on her vocal cords.

The Army of Me hitmaker has been performing to fans during a residency in Buenos Aires, but she's had to cut short the run after falling ill.

In a post on her website on Wednesday (18Apr12), she writes, "dear folks. im sorry to say that i have a nodule on my vocal chords (sic)... therefore cannot complete buenos aires gigs... shame, as i really love the city and would have loved to stay longer. i hope i can go back later soon!!! warmth, bjork."

The news comes just two months after Bjork was struck down with a bout of flu, prompting the cancellation of a show in New York.
