Beyonce cured sister's wedding day hives

Solange Knowles' wedding day skin rash was cured by her famous sister Beyonce.

The Losing You singer tied the knot with longtime boyfriend Alan Ferguson in New Orleans, Louisiana on Sunday (16Nov14), but she was photographed with what appeared to be welts on her face in the middle of her big day.

Solange later joked about her health scare with a post on Twitter.com, which read, "Shout out to Benadryl yo, LOL (laugh out loud). Nothing was gonna stop me..."

Now the bride's mother has spoken out to reveal R&B star Beyonce was the saviour of the day when she took her sister to a hotel room and handed her medication for the rash.

Tina Knowles tells Entertainment Tonight, "(Solange) went through the wedding and the sit down dinner and she was just fine. But then they had a second line (parade) in the streets of New Orleans and she was just dancing so hard. I think she just got overheated and the seafood, she had a reaction to it, so her face broke out into these welts.

"But Beyonce took her back to the hotel and gave her Benadryl - in two hours she showed up at the reception and danced with her son and danced all night. We had a ball."

Tina also revealed that despite the photos featuring Solange standing in her wedding gown alongside her female friends, Tina, and Beyonce, all wearing white, the photo was a "family portrait" because the bride opted not to have any bridesmaids.

The highlight for Tina was when she watched her daughter and new son-in-law recite their vows, saying, "They were the most beautiful thing. There wasn't a dry eye in the place."
