Music legends Tony Bennett and Stevie Wonder are to take the stage for a landmark hunger benefit in Los Angeles next month (Sep11).

The veteran crooner will be joined by Wonder, country star Carrie Underwood and John Mayer for the Tony Bennett Live In Concert - Benefit for Drive to End Hunger.

Proceeds from the event will be donated to the American Association for Retired Persons (AARP), an organization which strives to help better the lives of those over 50 years of age.

Bennett, who will be celebrating his 85th birthday at the show, says, "It is terrific to be working with AARP once again, especially for a cause like ending hunger among older Americans, which often does not get much attention.

"I know this event will make a big difference and I am thrilled to be a part of it and have some of my favorite musical performers join me for the concert."

The performance will be staged at the Staples Center on 24 September (11).
