Ben Affleck is in negotiations to direct George Clooney's next movie project Argo, according to reports.

The actor is said to be considering following up his turn directing heist movie The Town with the forthcoming political drama, which George Clooney will produce.

The film focuses on a CIA rescue operation to save six diplomats held hostage in Iran in 1979, according to Entertainment Weekly.
