Ben Affleck's car breaks down

Ben Affleck was forced to depend on the kindness of strangers after his car broke down in Los Angeles on Saturday (08Jun13).

The Argo star's classic car failed to start as he left a fundraiser in the Pacific Palisades area, but a valet at the event came to his assistance - and gave the stranded star a jump start.

Affleck had just attended the fifth Annual Playing for Good poker tournament benefiting the Geffen Playhouse and a fellow guest brought his own vehicle over to help get the Chevy Malibu SS turning over.

The actor/director's day took a more positive turn later that evening when he was presented with the Guy of the Year accolade at the 2013 Spike TV Guys Choice Awards in nearby Culver City.
