Rapper B.O.B. has launched a fundraising campaign to prove his theory that the world is flat.
The Airplanes star, real name Bobby Ray Simmons, Jr., became the target of Twitter trolls last year (16) when he insisted Earth was flat, but he has refused to be convinced otherwise, despite scientific evidence.
To continue his efforts to prove his theory, the rapper has now started a campaign on GoFundMe titled "Show BoB The Curve" to raise money to help him send satellites into space that will search for the curve in the Earth, which proves it is round.
"What's up y'all, it's flat Earth Bob here," he said in a video on his page. "I'm starting this GoFundMe because I would like to send one, if not multiple, satellites as far into space as I can or into orbit as I can to find the curve. I'm looking for the curve."
He promised to keep fans who donated up to date with every step of his mission.
As WENN went to press, his page had raised just over $670 in donations towards his target of $200,000 .
The 28-year-old was ridiculed on Twitter last year when he shared a picture of himself in front of a city landscape and wrote in the caption, "The cities in the background are approx. 16miles apart... where is the curve ? please explain this."
A number of users criticized the musician's thinking, with one stating, "16 miles is 0.06% of the earth's circumference, you can't expect to see the curvature of earth in that distance", while another added, "If earth was flat we'd have already either discovered edges, or there would be more & more continents discovered."
