B.o.B. challenges peers to dig deep for homeless charity

Written by . Published: November 25 2011

B.O.B. has donated $10,000 to a homeless charity - and he's offering to double the amount if another artist matches his generous cheque.

The Nothin' On You hitmaker handed over the amount to the Hosea Feed The Hungry and Homeless non-profit organisation in his adopted hometown of Atlanta, Georgia last week (ends18Nov11).

He says, "I wanted to give back because my community is what's important to me... so I wanted to show my fans my appreciation."

But B.o.B. is prepared to dig deep to hand over more money - and he's called on his industry peers to step up to the challenge and show their philanthropy too.

He adds, "I wanna take this opportunity to make a challenge... the next artist to donate 10 stacks, I'll put up another 10 stacks for the same foundation. If you can do it in the strip club, you can do it for Hosea Feed the Homeless."

Meanwhile, fellow Atlanta stars Ludacris, Big Boi and Ciara have helped to boost funds for Hosea Feed The Hungry and Homeless by taking part in a rollerskating party for the Thanksgiving holiday. The stars laced up their skates for the Roll Over Hunger event on Wednesday (23Nov11), raising money for the charity's annual holiday dinner programme to provide hearty meals for the needy over the festive season.
