Avril Lavigne looking forward to taking newly-single mum on the road

Avril Lavigne is planning to cheer her newly-single mum up by taking her on the road with her.

Judy Lavigne recently split from the pop star's stepfather and now her famous daughter is making plans to party with mum during a month-long tour of her native Canada.

She says, "I've been all year, like, on tour, travelling and stuff, and now I'm gonna be in Canada for an entire month, all October, and I'm gonna have my mum come on the tour bus with me and I'm gonna corrupt her.

"My mum is newly single and she's gonna come out and we're gonna have some fun... My brother's also on tour with me; he does security... And then at the end of the tour I'll see my dad."

Lavigne is planning to go shopping and play dress-up with her mum on the road.

She tells TV show Access Hollywood Live, "I've told her, like, 'Don't pack anything, I'll have a lot of, like, merchandise.. for her to wear...' I'm gonna have fun and take her shopping. I haven't really spent this much time with her in a while, so I'm really looking forward to it."
