The first single from the record hit shelves last month (Jan11) and has so far peaked at number 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, prompting reports Lavigne is unhappy with its performance.

But the singer insists she's pleased with the chart position after so long out of the spotlight.

She tells Vanity Fair, "It's been a few years. I'm excited to see that What The Hell is doing good so far on iTunes and with the fans.

"The response has been really great, so I'm happy."
