Avicii still too ill to tour

Birthday boy Avicii has scrapped a series of concerts and promotional commitments as he fights to fully recover from surgery.

The DJ, who turned 25 on Monday (08Sep14), canceled a handful of performances earlier this year (14) after his gallbladder and appendix were removed in March (14), and it appears he's still struggling with his recovery.

TMZ.com reports he is resting at home in Stockholm, Sweden and has pulled out of planned shows in Las Vegas, which were due to kick off this weekend (13Sep14).

Avicii's health issues began just before his set at the Ultra Music Festival in Miami, Florida, where he had to scrap a show after he was rushed to the hospital with a high fever and abdominal pains.
