Avicii postpones tour on doctors' orders
Swedish DJ Avicii has called off his planned tour after failing to bounce back from double surgery last month (Mar14).
The Levels star underwent an operation to remove his gallbladder and appendix and scrapped a number of gigs, including an appearance in Dubai, but he assured fans he would be well enough to kick off his tour in Boston, Massachusetts on 10 April (14).
However, Avicii, real name Tim Bergling, has now postponed the
first date of his tour in Boston, as well as a number of other
shows in cities such as Washington, D.C. and Las Vegas.
The star apologised to fans in a series of posts on his Twitter.com
page, writing, "I'm sorry for having to postpone the shows this
month. I sincerely wish I didn't have to but unfortunately there's
no going around it... Health must always come first and in this
case especially after my ruptured appendix that got removed doctors
orders have been really strict."
