Actress Aubrey Plaza was left with an injured knee after she played a basketball game in disguise last month (Dec15).
The former Parks and Recreation star spends her time off playing in a women's basketball league in Los Angeles, but just before Christmas (25Dec15), she took a tumble during a match.
She ended up tearing a ligament and subsequently underwent surgery to repair her knee, and she is currently in recovery. So when Plaza visited talk show host Ellen DeGeneres on Thursday (14Jan16), she took to the stage wearing shorts and a brace around her left knee, and slowly walked out with a cane in her hand.
While Plaza noted the injury was "worse than I thought it was going to be", she revealed the story behind her painful incident is actually controversial within the league.
Plaza explained, "The scandal is that I was playing on a different team in disguise when I tore my (ligament). I was wearing a wig and I just snapped my knee in half. It was quite a scene. I was wearing a blonde curly wig that I have named Yolanda."
