Ariana Grande releases surprise original holiday songs EP

Ariana Grande has served up a surprise Christmas treat for her fans by releasing a new collection of holiday songs.

The Problem singer made her four-track Christmas & Chill EP available to fans on Thursday (17Dec15). The project is the follow-up to 2013's Christmas Kisses and last year's (14) Santa Tell Me.

The new release features all-original holiday tracks with titles like Winter Things, Wit It (Milk & Cookies), and December.

Announcing the surprise release on Twitter, Grande reveals it only took her a week to record the four tracks.

She writes, "i love/am so proud of my talented friends! we put this ep together in under a week in my home stu (studio)! twas a long, productive slumber party.

"just us!! me, vic, tommy, travis, franks, michael and peter! when we finished we went to disneyland. twas the week before #christmasandchill."
