Ariana Grande hates music video debut
Singer Ariana Grande is deeply embarrassed by her first ever music video, branding the pop promo for Put Your Hearts Up "inauthentic and fake" and the "worst moment of my life".
The Way hitmaker first made her mark in the entertainment industry as an actress on Nickelodeon's Victorious, but she soon ventured into music in 2011 with her first single Put Your Hearts Up.
However, the song and video were not what the now-21 year old had
in mind when making her first foray into the music industry.
She tells Rolling Stone, "It was geared toward kids and felt so
inauthentic and fake."
For Grande, filming the music video for the track was the lowest
point in her career to date.
She admits, "That was the worst moment of my life. For the video,
they gave me a bad spray tan and put me in a princess dress and had
me frolic around the street. The whole thing was... (awful). I
still have nightmares about it, and I made them hide it on my
(video streaming website) Vevo page."
