ANNE HATHAWAY DEFENDS JAKE GYLLENHAAL OVER TAYLOR SWIFT ROMANCE QUESTIONS

Anne Hathaway leaped to the defense of her Love And Other Drugs co-star Jake Gyllenhaal on Saturday (06Nov10) when she pretended to scold a nosy reporter prying into the actor's personal life.

The Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time star is said to have recently embarked on a relationship with 20-year-old singer Taylor Swift and the romance was the hot topic at a New York press conference for his new film at the weekend (06Nov10).

Protective Anne Hathaway was upset when the media began quizzing the actor about his private business and tried to steer the questions back to the film, in which she plays Jake Gyllenhaal's lover.

She joked, "Hang on, hang on, I have to say something! I have been Jake's onscreen love interest for years, all right? You keep the conversation to me and only me, otherwise I'm going to get nasty!"

And Jake Gyllenhaal played it cool by laughing off the outburst.

Anne Hathaway and Jake Gyllenhaal also played lovers and then husband and wife in Brokeback Mountain.
