Angelina Jolie slept in a zoo
Angelina Jolie slept in an Australian zoo three times while shooting Unbroken.
The Tomb Raider star's second feature film tells the story of war hero and Olympian athlete Louis Zamperini, who survived a plane crash but became a prisoner of war in Japanese internment camps for two-and-a-half years.
The movie was shot over several months Down Under, and Jolie would
often take her family to Taronga Zoo in the capital Sydney - and
she loved it so much, she ended up sleeping there on three
occasions as part of the zoo's 'Roar & Snore' night, where guests
can stay in tents overlooking Sydney Harbour.
The actress says, "I loved working there. The children learnt how
to surf and skate. We loved the zoo - I slept in the zoo three
times by the time we left, with your crazy birds.
"The first morning I woke up in the zoo, about 5 o'clock, I thought
(partner) Brad (Pitt) was outside playing a trick on me with a
whistle. It was your crazy birds! I didn't actually think it was
possible to make that sound that early in the morning."
