Amy Schumer called in healers to help her beat fever

Amy Schumer was forced to scrap an appearance on America's The Ellen DeGeneres Show last week (05Dec16) when she fell violently ill.

The Trainwreck star also had to cancel dates in Australia and New Zealand as a result of a mystery sickness, but Amy has since made it back to Ellen's show to explain she had a high fever and had to call in healers.

"I have cupping marks on my butt," the comedienne said. "Cupping works... I feel a lot better. It turns out if you work really hard, non-stop for 15 years and don't take a break, it's not, like, good for your body!"

Schumer was able to rearrange her Ellen show appearance but the dates Down Under haven't been rescheduled.

Promoters Live Nation released a statement on 5 December (16), in which they apologized for any "disappointment" caused by the cancellation. They added that "due to Amy Schumer's tight schedule it is not possible to schedule replacement dates" but they will be working to organize her return to the cities impacted "as soon as is practical".
