Amber Rose had Caesarean after learning baby was breech

New mom Amber Rose has opened up about complications she suffered during her pregnancy, revealing she had to scrap plans for a natural home birth after learning her baby boy was breech.

The model and her rapper fiance Wiz Khalifa welcomed their son Sebastian Taylor Thomaz in February (13), and now Rose has admitted the days leading up to her child's arrival were full of pain and stress, and she had to abandon all hope of a water birth in the comfort of her own house.

During an interview on The Ricki Lake Show on Tuesday (30Apr13), she explained, "At 37 weeks one of the midwives said that that big lump right there on my top by my ribs was the baby's head. My ideal birth plan was just down the drain."

Rose turned to all kinds of alternative medicines and treatments in a bid to coax her baby to reposition himself in her womb, and when they didn't work, she agreed to let doctors try to move him too - although that procedure left her in tears.

She said, "I tried mugwort, acupuncture and then my last resort was an inversion, which is when you go to the hospital and they manually try to turn your baby. They push his head down and push his butt up... It hurt a lot. It was very painful. I cried."

Rose finally accepted that she would have to undergo a Caesarean section to give birth, and she credits her man with helping to calm her nerves before going under the knife.

She added, "At that point, after I tried everything, I was like, 'I just want my baby, if I have to have a c-section, fine...'

"When I went in (for the Caesarean) I was terrified, shaking. I was so scared. But then Wiz came in (and) he just talked to me the whole time. All of a sudden we heard Sebastian cry and we both started crying. We were like, 'Oh my gosh, our baby's here!'"

Now Rose is looking to the future and she hopes things will work out better next time around: "I feel like I made the right decision (for Sebastian), but I knew right after having a C-section that (with) our next baby I definitely want to have my baby at home."
