Allison Williams has returned to her signature brunette hair color.
The actress stunned fans when she dyed her hair platinum blonde for a photoshoot for Allure magazine back in February (17), following the conclusion of her HBO series Girls.
But after nearly a year of rocking honey-hued tresses, Allison has dyed her hair back to her favored glossy brown color.
"Back to my roots," she captioned a selfie of herself with shoulder-grazing brown hair, posted on her Instagram page on Tuesday (19Dec17), adding, "Blonde was fun, but I've got to say that I'm happy to be back."
Allison wasn't the only celebrity to try out blonde hair this year, with trendsetters such as Selena Gomez, Katy Perry and Kim Kardashian all sporting lighter locks of late. But she revealed in an interview shortly after dying her hair that she wasn't sure if she was cut out for all the maintenance her new look required.
"It feels different, it's not as soft as it used to be. I try to brush it more slowly than a person brushing a dead person's hair," the 29-year-old shared during a chat with Kelly Ripa on Live with Kelly in February.
While her new hair has taken some getting used to, Allison has also divulged that turning blonde has also taught her something interesting about male behavior in general.
The Get Out star, who is married to Ricky Van Veen, told TV host James Corden in March that she finds most men can't help but turn and look when they spot a woman with a blonde mane.
"I walk into a room and before people are disappointed by the marriage and the fact that (my hair) isn't attached to Sienna Miller or something, they're like 'Oh, a blonde person with boobs!'" she smiled. "And boys are just aware of a blonde head of hair in the room. I'm positive. I've walked this planet as a brunette with total anonymity. And now I walk into a party and people are like, (gasps).'"
