Alicia Machado strips off for PETA's anti-fur campaign

Actress and former Miss Universe Alicia Machado has peeled off her clothes to join PETA's new I'd Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur campaign.

The Venezuelan stunner flaunts her curves in the animal rights organization's new sexy black and white ad, in which she holds her left arm across her bare chest and her right hand over her genitals to preserve her modesty.

In an accompanying video interview for PETA Latino, Alicia calls on her fans and trendsetters in the entertainment and fashion industries to join her in ditching fur, citing the inhumane techniques farmers often use to take the coats of rabbits, foxes, minks, and other animals.

"Animals are our friends. They're our companions," she explains in the clip. "When an animal is bred to be killed, to make clothing, it is monstrous... It is something that is terribly cruel, and I think it is the biggest example of the frivolity and superficiality that human beings are capable of."

Alicia is the latest star to join the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals' I'd Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur campaign. Actresses Eva Mendes, Roselyn Sanchez, Taraji P. Henson, and singers Pink and Jhene Aiko are among her fellow animal rights activists who have previously stripped off for the cause.
