Alicia Keys to team up with Byrne for Black Ball

Alicia Keys will share the stage with ex-Talking Heads star David Byrne at this year's (14) Black Ball fundraiser.

The 11th annual Keep a Child Alive benefit at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York on 30 October (14) will also feature rapper Angel Haze, while Givenchy artistic director Riccardo Tisci will be honored for his anti-discriminatory efforts at the gala.

Pregnant Keys, the event co-founder and host, says, "I've always been inspired by David Byrne and his ability to combine music and art, so getting the opportunity to perform with him at this year's Black Ball is such an honor. David and I have been talking about his new music and what we're going to perform and just the thought of it is amazing!"

Byrne adds, "I'm flattered and excited."
