R&B star Alicia Keys is set to be feted with one of the Grammy organisation's highest honours in recognition of her career success and philanthropic efforts.

The No One hitmaker, who already has 15 Grammys to her name, has been selected as the 2015 recipient of the Recording Artists' Coalition Award, which celebrates the work of artists who advocate for the rights of music creators through philanthropy, education and dialogue.

Keys will be presented with the prize during the Recording Academy's Grammys On the Hill Awards in Washington, D.C. on 15 April (15).

Recording Academy President Neil Portnow says, "We know that she will bring the same dedication to creators' rights as she does to her global philanthropic efforts."

Lady Antebellum and Jennifer Hudson are among previous recipients of the award.

The career achievement prize will give Keys another reason to celebrate after welcoming her second child, son Genesis, with husband Swizz Beatz in December (14).
