Adriana Lima slams head into bus mirror

Supermodel Adriana Lima is nursing a smashed head and a bruised ego following a painful run-in with the side mirror of a bus on Tuesday (06May14).

The Brazilian model was filming a commercial for cosmetics brand Maybelline in New York City when she slammed her forehead into the giant protruding mirror she didn't see, as she attempted to avoid the paparazzi, until it was too late, while she was walking around the bus.

The embarrassing moment and the sickening thud as her head hit metal was caught on TMZ.com video cameras.

It is not known whether she was injured or needed medical attention after her bump.

The accident comes a day after Lima attended the annual Met Gala on Monday night (05May14). The fashionable event marked her first public appearance since announcing her split from husband Marko Jaric on Friday (02May14).
