Adele taking time off before third album

Written by . Published: September 16 2011

Soul sensation Adele is set to enjoy time off after the massive success of her second album 21, with no plans to record a follow-up anytime soon.

The British singer has broken chart records around the world with her hugely successful second offering, which has dominated the charts since its release earlier this year (11).

But record label bosses aren't pushing Adele back into the studio just yet - her manager Jonathan Dickens reveals she'll record again when "the time is right".

He tells Music Week, "I want to give her a little bit of time off and then hopefully we'll start looking at some stuff in November just to get into looking to make music again rather than any specific reason, dates or when it's coming or anything.

"It will come when it's right and she's a great judge of that. I'm a good judge of that and ultimately the label is not a label where we are having to fight numbers and figures and quarterly results.

"We haven't even had a discussion about album three at this stage. And it will come when it's right. It's as simple as that."
