Adele: 'My booty is too big to twerk with!'

Written by . Published: March 22 2016

Adele has joked she can't twerk very well because her bottom is "so big".

The 27-year-old singer has been delighting fans with her onstage antics since bringing her World tour to London, England. At one of the concerts this week (beg21Mar16), Adele decided to try her luck at twerking - a popular dance move which involves sticking out the bottom and thrusting the hips in a sexually provocative manner.

The Hello star perhaps wasn't wearing the most appropriate ensemble to try the move, a gorgeous full-length black sequinned gown, when she attempted it.

The hilarity of the situation certainly wasn't lost on Adele, who joked with the crowd that her curves made it more difficult for her to successfully twerk.

"I think I just twerked!" she told the crowds. "I can't do it that well. My whole body has to move. My b** could break my back it's so enormous."

Adele's self-deprecation is just one of the reasons her fans love her so much. In fact, she has shed an astonishing amount of weight over recent months, admitting the weight loss is down to sticking to a "boring" diet and exercise regime.

The British star has been entertaining fans by interluding her musical performances during her tour performances with hilarious anecdotes and revelations.

The most recent came when she told the audience that rumours she would be headlining Britain's iconic Glastonbury music festival this summer (16) were absolutely true.

"Don't tell anyone I told you. I think it's a secret!" she laughed to the crowds.

Glastonbury officials subsequently announced the big gig on the event's official Twitter page.

"What a great honour it is to have the wonderful Adele confirmed for this year's Saturday night headline spot on the Pyramid Stage!" wrote festival organiser Emily Eavis, daughter of Glastonbury founder Michael Eavis.

Adele joins Muse and Coldplay at the top of the 2016 bill, with Chris Martin's band closing the festivities on 26 June (16).
