Adam Lambert raising charity money for birthday

Adam Lambert has asked fans to forgo sending him gifts to mark his birthday and donate to charity instead.
The former American Idol star turns 31 on Tuesday (29Jan13) and he is keen to raise as much money as possible for the We Are Family Foundation, which supports youth programs.
Lambert has asked his fans to donate money to the cause, and has
taken to his Twitter.com page to raise awareness of the
fundraising.
In a post, he writes, "I'm so proud to partner with WeAreFamilyFdtn
(sic) for my birthday this year & help empower teens
everywhere!"
The singer celebrated his birthday early by hosting a party on
Friday (25Jan13) at West Hollywood hotspot Bootsy Bellows in
California.
