Actor Nathan Kress engaged

U.S. actor Nathan Kress, who starred in hit TV show Icarly, is officially off the market after proposing to his girlfriend.

Kress, who played Freddie Benson on the Nickelodeon show alongside actress Miranda Cosgrove, revealed in a series of tweets and Instagram.com posts on Friday (29May15) that he had popped the question.

His fiancee, actress and stunt performer London Elise Moore, said she was "engaged to her best friend" after the actor's romantic proposal at sunset overlooking the hills of the Angeles National Forest near L.A.

The couple, who both appeared in the 2014 film Into The Storm - alongside The Hobbit actor Richard Armitage - have been sharing photos of their relationship on Twitter and Instagram since the beginning of this year (15), and are believed to have been dating for just four months.

Moore tweeted on Friday, "Thank you all for the congratulations and joyful blessings upon us and our upcoming marriage, you guys mean the world to us!"
