A$AP Rocky to be new face of Under Armor - report

Rapper A$Ap Rocky is reportedly set to become the latest face of apparel brand Under Armor.

The hip-hop star is said to have inked a deal to front the company's lifestyle division, although the news has yet to be confirmed by bosses at the Baltimore, Maryland-based footwear and clothing company.

It's not the Fashion Killa MC's first fashion hook-up. A$AP Rocky has previously created two of his own capsule collections - Guess Originals X A$AP Rocky, plus a line for Adidas Originals. He was also the face of Dior’s 2016 Fall/Winter campaign.

Under Armor officials are no doubt hoping the rapper's social media followers - 6.3 million on Instagram and 1.63 million on Twitter - will help to revive the brand's popularity, after shares in the firm dropped seven per cent in the last year, according to a sales report released last week (ends07Jul17).

If the news is confirmed, A$AP Rocky will join fellow brand ambassadors Dwayne Johnson and basketball star Stephen Curry.
