Twilight star Robert Pattinson was once so distraught after a break-up he crawled into a dog basket and cried himself to sleep.

VICTORIA BECKHAM HEADING TO MADAGASCAR

Victoria Beckham's Hollywood career is taking off - the fashion designer has landed a role in the next Madagascar movie.

The former Spice Girls star has previously made a cameo appearance in Ugly Betty and provided a voice-over for hit kids show Spongebob Squarepants.

Now Beckham has landed her first Hollywood role in the upcoming Madagascar 3, alongside Ben Stiller and David Schwimmer.

The 35 year old will reportedly voice a character in the animated film, which is due for release in 2012.

STEPHANIE PRATT HEADS TO REHAB

Reality TV star Stephanie Pratt has agreed to undergo 30 days in rehab as part of her ongoing drink-driving case.

The Hills star was arrested last month (Oct09) after she failed a breath test in Los Angeles and she was formally charged with driving under the influence (DUI).

She pleaded not guilty to the misdemeanour, and in a hearing in Los Angeles on Friday (13Nov09) the 23 year old has now agreed to spend a month in a rehabilitation center.

If convicted of the offense, Pratt could face up to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine.

 
NORAH JONES EMBARRASSED ABOUT TWITTER.COM SILENCE

Singer Norah Jones has been left feeling foolish after setting up a Twitter.com account to keep fans up to date with her recording sessions - and never using it.

The jazz-pop hitmaker thought it would be a good idea to 'tweet' while recording new album The Fall, but she never had anything to write - and the site remained dormant.

Now, as she prepares to release the album, she says, "We acquired the account when I went into the studio because we thought it would be a good idea for me to start being like, 'Hey, I'm in the studio.'

A. R. RAHMAN OFFERS MICHAEL JACKSON STUDIES

Oscar winner A.R. Rahman is giving Michael Jackson fans the chance to study the King of Pop at his music conservatory.

The Slumdog Millionaire composer was working with Jackson when the pop star died in June (09) and now he's honouring his friend by offering devotees a course on the singer's music at the KM Music Conservatory in Kodambakkam, Tamil.

And insider Rajan Zed reveals Rahman himself will reportedly give the inaugural lecture on Jackson.

Rahman is developing an album of new tunes in memory of Jackson, which will feature musicians from all over the world.

Leona Lewis has thanked her mentor Simon Cowell for supporting her after she was attacked at a book-signing last month (Oct09) - crediting the music mogul with helping her through the ordeal.

COURT BATTLE OVER MICHAEL JACKSON MERCHANDISE RIGHTS

A multi-million dollar legal battle has begun over the merchandising rights for artists including Michael Jackson and The Rolling Stones.

Bosses at Bravado International Group claim to have secured the exclusive rights to create merchandise relating to the King of Pop and the British rockers, as well as Guns N' Roses, The Doors, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Led Zeppelin.
