50 Cent working hard to 'top' debut album success

50 Cent is determined to relive his early success by writing an album which outshines his stellar debut release Get Rich Or Die Tryin'.

The hip-hop star stormed the charts with the 2003 effort, which sold 15 million copies around the globe, by far the rapper's biggest hit to date.

His subsequent albums have been left in the shadow of his first release, but 50 Cent is back in the studio in a bid to "top" his best work.

He writes on Twitter.com, "I've been working, I'm recording a lot for this album. I'm gonna keep recording cause I want to top Get Rich Or Die Tryin'.

"You can be mad cause you have to wait but you will be happy when it comes. I want it to be perfect. Look I know I haven't been tweeting but this album is making me crazy. I'm writing a lot."
