5 Seconds Of Summer's Michael Clifford misses concert after losing passport

5 Seconds Of Summer guitarist Michael Clifford had to sit out the group's performance at the Jingle Bell Ball in London on Sunday (07Dec14) after losing his passport.

Clifford was unable to leave the U.S. to join his fellow bandmates at the festive O2 Arena concert, which also featured performances from Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith and Taylor Swift, who closed the second night of the annual Capital FM holiday bash.

The Australian boyband alerted fans to the line-up change hours before their set, taking to Twitter.com to write, "So Mikey lost his passport. That means he cant fly to the UK & has to stay in the US, so were playing CapitalJBB as a three piece today (sic)."

The remaining 5 Seconds of Summer stars Luke Hemmings, Calum Hood and Ashton Irwin managed to pull off an energetic set without Clifford, but Hemmings made it known his presence was missed by returning to Twitter after the show and writing, "Wasn't the same without Michael but we did our best, thanks jingle bell ball".
