Established pop/rap artist from Compton, California, Tyga (born Michael Stevenson) has been recognized in the music world since opening up for Fall Out Boy and Gym Class Heroes. He was discovered by his cousin Travis McCoy, the lead vocalist from Gym Class Heroes, and signed to Pete Wentz's Decaydance Records in early 2007.

Tyga's debut album, No Introduction, dropped mid-2008 and received great reviews for blending genres to create new combinations. Hailed as the "jam of the summer", his first single from the album called "Coconut Juice" was described as infectious. Keep Tyga on the home front because he'll be around for quite awhile, especially being hailed as the up and coming Akon!

Young Hollywood takes you to Whiskey Blue in the W Hotel to Tyga's album release party for No Introduction. He talks to us about his rise to success and how he is staying grounded.
