This skateboard sensation, a San Clemente, Calif. native, turned pro at the young age of 13! Ryan Sheckler, born on December 30, 1989, has since been taking over the skateboard world winning numerous championships and even becoming the youngest participant ever to earn a gold medal at the X Games in 2004.
"The Life of Ryan" was Sheckler's reality TV show that gave an insight into his skateboard passion and made him become a teen heartthrob because of his sincerity that he expressed. At 18-years-old, he turned the Sheckler name into a franchise by creating his own skate industry merchandising line, Sheckler Merch. Though he lives a busy life, Sheckler focuses his outside attention to giving back to the community he is a part of. He also makes time for his many hobbies including motocross, surfing and anything car related.
Young Hollywood talks to Sheckler about his life and why he's good friends with rap superstar, Lil' Wayne! We also hang with Ryan at his charity event "Down 4 Life" where he hangs with another Lil' - this time Lil' Jon.
He developed his own trick called the Sheck-lair, an indy kickflip flyout.
His favorite movie is Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
Ryan puts packages of skateboard wheels in his freezer so that they last longer.
