RYAN GOSLING

Ryan Gosling was born on November 12, 1980, in London, Ontario. As a child, Ryan was home-schooled by his mother. He attended Cornwall Collegiate and Vocational High School where he took part in the Drama and Fine Arts program. Ryan's first big break came with his audition for the TV series "The Mickey Mouse Club" in January of 1993. This young talent beat out 17,000 other aspiring actors and landed the role. Ryan was on the show for two years and decided he wanted to pursue a career in acting.

Ryan began making appearances on several TV series including "Young Hercules" and "Breaker High." He then decided to take on more challenging roles by moving on to film. Ryan starred in films such Qas The Slaughter Rule, Murder by Numbers and Remember the Titans alongside Denzel Washington. In 2002 he won the Golden Aries award from the Russian Guild of Film Critics for his role as the Jewish neo-Nazi in the controversial film The Believer. In 2004, Ryan starred in the insanely popular film, The Notebook, launching him into mega-stardom. The role also won him the honor of being named one of the 50 Hottest Bachelors by People Magazine.

FUN FACTS:

He is an accomplished jazz guitarist.

He built the kitchen table featured in The Notebook (2004) in preparation for his role as Noah.

While on "MMC"(1989), he lived with Justin Timberlake and his mother.
