Born: December 10, 1985
I bet this sitcom-psychic didn't see this level of stardom coming at age three Raven-Symone Christina Pearman was born in Atlanta, Georgia, but moved to New York at a young age. With the support of her parents, while she was still very young, Raven signed with Ford Modeling Agency. Her first big audition was for a movie called Ghost Dad starring Bill Cosby. Being only three years old, she was deemed too young for the role. However, Cosby could see she had talent. He asked Raven to come back to read lines. Her innocence and charm landed her a starring role as Olivia on the last three seasons of The Cosby Show. In 1993, Raven tried her hand at singing. She became the youngest person ever to sign with MCA Records. Raven continued acting and landed a starring role in the televission show, "Hangin' With Mr. Cooper." In 1998, Raven got roles in both Doctor Dolittle and the made-for-TV movie, Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century.
That was only the beginning for this star. The Walt Disney Company wanted Raven to be a supporting character for the Disney TV show called, "Absolutely Psychic." She impressed them so much that they changed the show's premise so that it would be about her. The show's name was changed to a little show that we like to call, "That's So Raven." Since the show's start, it has become a huge hit. In addition, Raven even became a member of the Cheetah Girls. Raven attended Russell Simmon's Grammy Party and Young Hollywood was there to learn about her aspirations as well as her style.
Raven is a spunky ball of fire that we don't expect to simmer down any time soon. We cannot wait to see what this young, motivated woman will "wow" us with next!
Raven once shared an apartment in Los Angeles with her friend Lindsay Lohan.
She won the Favorite Female TV Star at the 2004 Kids' Choice Awards.
Her favorite game is Scrabble.
She loves to watch South Park.
Raven is of both African American and Native American descent.
