Born: June 29, 1978
Nicole is best known as the lead vocalist for the "Pussycat Dolls," but before she achieved her dream of becoming an entertainer Nicole first had to move to the main land. Her family moved from Hawaii to Louisville, Kentucky when she was six years old. Here, Scherzinger began her life as a performer by attending the Youth Performing Arts School at duPont Manual High School and performing with Actors Theater of Louisville. After graduating High School, Nicole majored in theater arts at Wright State University but put her studies on hold in 1999 to sing backing vocals for the rock band "Days of the New."
Then in 2001, Scherzinger competed in the premiere season of The WB's television show "Popstars," on which she earned a spot in the all-girl pop group Eden's Crush. She became one of the main vocalists for the group. However, their record company, London-Sire Records, folded and the group eventually disbanded. Nicole did not let this crush her spirit; she kept looking for other ways to make it as a performer. In May 2003, she joined the Pussycat Dolls burlesque troupe, who were being re-cast as recording artists. Young Hollywood had a chance to chat with Nicole at the Style Villa in Vegas where she talked about her debut solo album, Her Name is Nicole.
Her favorite movie is Napoleon Dynamite.
Her favorite bands are U2 and Black Eyed Peas.
She is the inspiration for the 311 song "Amber." Her former fiance is 311 frontman Nick Hexum.
