Her shoot for the magazine sparked significant attention from conservative media outlets that were outraged at her young age and concerned with the general glorification of young girls in the entertainment industry. Despite this controversy, Miranda chose to pursue modeling full time once she completed her schooling. After receiving exposure while modeling beachware for Billabong, Miranda moved to New York where her career took off! She modeled runway and print for dozens of major labels before signing a cosmetics contract with Maybelline New York.

Now, she is internationally known as the first Australian Victoria's Secret Angel and has joined the ranks of Gisele Bundchen and Heidi Klum.
