Keri Hilson's flair for music started at the age of 12 when she taught herself how to write songs. Performing in school plays and winning talent shows weren't enough for the Atlanta beauty, which led to her continuous studio sessions to learn the ins and outs of music production. She quickly made a name for herself in the early 2000's as one of the strongest songwriters out there writing tracks for Britney Spears, Ciara, Usher, and Ludacris. Fate struck a few years later in 2006 and she was introduced to her long-time inspiration, producer Timbaland, who was looking for a black female solo R&B artist. She signed onto his label Mosley Music Group, and made several appearances on his solo album including "The Way I Are," which reached #3 on Billboard 100. Keri continued to write and record until her time in the spotlight finally came when she released her debut album "In a Perfect World" in March 2009, which reached #4 on the Billboard 200. She won numerous awards in 2009 including BET Best New Artist & Soul Train Awards Best New Collaboration for "Knock You Down," only proving it was her breakout year as an artist. Since Keri Hilson is full of all that "Energy", it's no surprise that she toured for a third time as the opening act for Ne-Yo's The Year of the Gentleman tour. Keri's talent cannot be ignored and we're sure that this
singer/songwriter will be in the spotlight for years to come!

FUN FACTS:

Her friend's nicknamed her 'Keri-okey' when she was little and she

puts that name in credits for every major hit she writes.

  • She was in a girls group D'Signe at age 14, but they were dropped by

their label before releasing an album.

  • She scored her audition with Timbaland by singing over the phone.
