KEKE PALMER

Harvey, Illinois

Lauren Keyana Palmer, better known as Keke Palmer, first started singing in her church choir at the age of 5.  She strongly began pursuing acting and singing when her family moved to Los Angeles.  Keke was signed to Atlantic Records, releasing the single “All My Girlz” which played in the movie Akeelah and the Bee, in which Keke also played the title role.

She was also featured in the film Barbershop 2: Back in Business in 2004. Keke gained more appearing roles in "ER," "Law & Order," "ER," among others.  Showing her range, Keke recorded tracks for Disney’s original movie Jump In with Corbin Blue and also performed a song for the movie A Night at the Museum starring Ben Stiller.  Perhaps she is best known as the star of the Nickelodeon show "True Jackson, VP" playing the 15-year-old vice president of a fashion company.  Young Hollywood has chatted with Keke several times and she is even featured on our Verge to Emerge.
