Born: June 23, 1977
He attended Le Davis High School where he was a member of the school's musical theater program. Surprisingly enough, Jason did not pick up a guitar until the age of 18. Despite his late musical start, it was drive and determination that brought him where he is today. After high school, Jason moved to New York where he attended the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. College was short lived as he dropped out a year later to concentrate on music and songwriting. Performing at local coffeehouses, Jason finally got his big break when he signed with Elektra Records. His debut album, Waiting for my Rocket to Come, was released in November of 2002. The album was a hit as it went platinum in July 2004. Jason then went on tour to continue the support of his album. He opened for popular musicians Alanis Morrissette and Rolling Stones. In 2007, Jason wrote "The Beauty in Ugly," a song written for the ABC show "Ugly Betty."
Jason enjoyed major success of his third album, We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things. His first single off the album, "I'm Yours," was a huge success andit was nominated for Song of the Year and Best Male Pop Vocal Performance at the 2009 Grammy Awards. There seems to be no stopping this talented musician and we can't wait to see what he has in store for us in the future!
