IAN SOMERHALDER

Ian Somerhalder, born in the small town of Covington, Louisiana, began his modeling career at the age of 10. When taking a break during junior high from modeling after three summers of traveling to New York to model, he accepted an offer to model in Europe, leaving his high school career incomplete. Thus far, Somerhalder has modeled for Calvin Klein, Versace, Gucci, Dolce & Gabanna, and Guess. At age 17 he began studying acting in New York. Somerhalder scored his breakthrough role in 2004 as Boone Carlyle in “Lost”. After five years on “Lost,” Somerhalder is now one of the stars of the CW TV series “Vampire Diaries.”
